H Mart Flyer is a Korean-American supermarket chain operated by the Hanahreum Group and headquartered in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. The “H” in “H Mart” stands for Han Ah Reum, a Korean term meaning “one full arm with a grocery.” The term can be more loosely translated to “open both arms to handle” or “full arm “.
This chain began its history in 1982 in Woodside, Queens, New York City, as a small grocery store.
